Superintendent’s Report of Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) for the period November 10, 2021 to November 16, 2021 (no vote required; for reporting purposes only), in accordance with the information in the hands of each Board member.

E-2. APPROVE STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN TOMORROW’S TEACHERS PROGRAM
Approve students participating in the Tomorrow’s Teachers program and will be reporting to other schools in the district to meet 50 hours of field work as required by Kean University – dates and locations are as follows: (a) Jefferson School – December 9th and 16th, 2021; (b) Burnet Middle School – January 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th, 2021; (c) Elementary Schools (not yet decided) – February 8th and 15th, 2021; (d) various schools around the district depending on student – March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 2021.

Approve annual preschool operational plan update: Data Summary Tool for 2022-2023 school year, in accordance with the information in the hands of each Board member.
E-4. APPROVE NJDOE SCHOOL SELF-ASSESSMENT
Approve the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) School Self-Assessment for Determining Grades under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act for the period of July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021, in accordance with the information in the hands of each Board member.
E-5. APPROVE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

Pursuant to N.J.A.C.6A:23-2.2(h), we certify that as of October 31, 2021 after review of the secretary’s monthly financial report (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials that to the best of our knowledge no major account or fund has been over-expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.2(d)3 and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district’s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. This certification is solely based on the information provided by the School Business Administrator and Board Secretary and is assumed by the Board to be correct.

Approve accepted Child Assault Prevention Program (CAP) for the 2021-2022 school year. The following amounts reflect State CAP Funding provided to the district for the CAP program: (a) Special Needs - $450.10; (b) Teen CAP - $3,310.30; (c) Elementary CAP - $6,787.90. Total State CAP funding amount: $10,548.30; district contribution - $4,520.70, in accordance with previously BOE approved application from July 20, 2021 Board Meeting (F-19).
F-19. APPROVE IMPLEMENTATION OF RUTGERS PARAPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT COACHING PROJECT

P-12. APPROVE APPOINTMENT AND EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT - PEREZ
Approve the appointment and employment contract of Gretel T. Perez, Ed.D., as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment and Funded Programs, for the 2021-2022 school year, at a contractual salary of $168,000.00, subject to the approval of the Executive County Superintendent, in accordance with the information in the hands of each board member.
P-13. APPROVE DISTRICT PHYSICAL THERAPIST TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL THERAPY TO STUDENTS RECEIVING HOME INSTRUCTION
Approve district Physical Therapist, Dr. Lori Saunders, to provide physical therapy during the school day to students receiving home instruction per their IEP’s, at no additional cost to the district, for the 2021-2022 school year.

Approval be given to amend the list of students removed from the rolls [four (4) students exited the month of October 2021 (3 from elementary, 1 from secondary) or a total of eight (8) students for the 2021-2022 school year] who are not domiciled in this school district, in accordance with the non-public information in the hands of each Board member.
